Reclaiming Indigenous Spiritual Tradition
Our indigenous spiritual tradition is emerging (ó brúdar an eaglaise) from the ashes of the institutiuonal church. It is an esoteric Christianity, recognising the sacredness of our ecology. It merges our 'pagan' mythologies and our gnostic Celtic. We are reclaiming the sacraments as thresholds of initiation, rites of passage that mark the soul's evolution through life.

A transformative journey of rediscovery.

Rites of Passage
As we traverse each stage of our development, from youth to maturity to elderhood; Life provides an initiatory experience to prepare us for the next chapter. Extreme circumstances and experience often precipitate the change that is required for us to increase our capacity to participate more fully in the world. Indigenous Ireland understood this and worked in tandem with LIfe to contrive these experiences for the growth and development of their young people. Rites of passage are this.
In the absence of the traditional village, contemporary life creates the initiation for us. But, in the absence of the village, and the break in the continuity of knowledge, we are ill equipped to recognise and navigate those initiatory experiences. Our work is to reorder our rites of passage, to reclaim them from the co-option of the Catholic institution, into a meaningful setting.
